1 Overview

Braintree is available to merchants in many different countries with acceptance of countless different currencies. Once you're setup with Braintree, you can configure your Cheddar account.

2 Initial Setup

2.1 API Credentials

Cheddar needs three pieces of information from your Braintree account in order to access the Braintree API:

1. Merchant ID
   
2. Public Key
   
3. Private Key

Each of these credentials can be found in your production gateway account by navigating to Account > My user > View API Keys then clicking on view under the Private Key column in the list.

3 Configure Cheddar

Once your Braintree account is setup and live, it's time to setup your Cheddar account. Login to Cheddar, navigate to Configuration->Gateway and enter your Merchant ID, Public Key, and Private Key. Then, select the currency and credit card types enabled in your Braintree account. Click "Save" and you should be all set.
