Inquiry on subscription billing system
Gentlemen:
Greetings! We are a tech start-up based in the Philippines. We are
looking for a service provider for recurring billing and
subscription management. We came across your site through a google.
We just have a couple of questions that we hope you can help us
with as follows:
1. We already have a payment gateway provider which is PCI
compliant and is based in Asia. Can we still integrate with you for
your recurring billing solution or do we have to use one of your
recommended payment gateway providers?
- Should we decide to avail of your service, how fast can get it up and running in our website?
Thank you very much for your kind attention and immediate response.
Sincerely yours,
John Calub

Hi John,
Thanks for considering CheddarGetter for your recurring billing needs! To answer your questions:
Could you tell me the name of the company that provides your gateway? If I know the company, I can confirm whether or not they're compatible with our platform. If it's not compatible, we can help you obtain a merchant account through one of our preferred providers or you can process payments with PayPal.
If you have a developer who can devote a couple days to integrating your platform with CheddarGetter, it shouldn't take much time at all. Without knowing much about your platform, it's difficult for me to say exactly how long it will take, but typically it only takes a couple of days to complete an integration. To be on the safe side, you may want to plan for a week or two, in case you run into any unexpected issues, but it can be completed faster than that if needed.
We have some useful documentation to help you with the integration process. In case you haven't seen it already, check our API Documentation for the request dictionary and to see some of the open source wrappers we have available. Additionally, you may also want to take a look at our Integration Roadmap Knowledge Base article to help you start planning your integration.
Do you have any existing customers who are processing through a different platform? If so, you may also need to import these customers into CG. We have an import API to help you with this process.
Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you!

Hi Meghan! Our payment gateway provider is Paymaya (
https://developers.paymaya.com/blog/entry/paymaya-api-and-sdk-documentation),
which is based in the Philippines. We also have Paypal. We would prefer to
integrate with you using Paymaya because it is a local company and it is
easier for us to contact them for any customer service inquiries that we
have.
Can you give us a quotation on how much you charge for recurring payments
and invoicing services. Do you charge a fixed amount or do you charge per
transaction?

Hi John,
We have two paid pricing plans that you can subscribe to. If you end up processing payments with PayPal standard, you can subscribe to the PayPal Only plan which is $9.00 per month plus .25 cents per transaction. If you decide to use a payment gateway to process transactions, you can subscribe to the Blowing Up plan which is $79.00 per month plus .20 cents per transaction. To test out our features and work on your integration with our platform, you can sign-up for a free developer account here. The dev account gives you access to all the features of our platform, so you can wait until you're ready to start processing payments to upgrade to a paid plan.
At this time, PayMaya is not a gateway that's compatible with CheddarGetter, but, as you mentioned, you can process payments with PayPal or we could talk about doing a custom integration project. For a fee, we offer support packages that include custom development work for our merchants looking to add new features to CheddarGetter specifically for their integration. In this case, we'd evaluate the feasibility and possibly implement a custom integration of the PayMaya gateway with our platform.
The custom integration project involves an engineer's initial evaluation of the gateway technology to:
1.Confirm that the gateway service is compatible with CheddarGetter and recurring billing in general.
2. Determine whether or not we think that other merchants could benefit by the integration and to what degree they would benefit
If that evaluation results in a green light for compatibility, we could then move into an implementation phase. The structure of the implementation phase is dependent upon the result of the initial evaluation. We would then report to you the result of that evaluation in the form of a proposal for the implementation phase.
The initial evaluation requires a flat, non-refundable fee of USD 900. The cost of implementation usually ranges from USD 0-3000. Let us know if you'd like to explore this option and we'll get you a formal proposal for your review.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Meghan
